√ How many treatments are needed?

It is impossible to get rid of the unwanted hair only in one single session. Usually, the clients need a course of treatments from 6 to 20 treatments every 3 to 5 weeks for the body, and every 2 to 4 weeks for the face. However the number of sessions depends on many factors including genetics, hormones or specific medications which may cause the long-term hair grow, and the client may require additional treatments.

√ How long will it take for one session?

The length of a laser session depends on the size of the area being treated and may take from a few minutes to an hour.

√ When can I return to normal activity after the treatment?

You can return to normal activity immediately after the end of the treatment. The after-effects may include some redness which usually disappears within 48 hrs.

√ Is laser hair removal procedure safe?

The best time for hair removal is the first phase of the hair growth cycle.

Pre and Post-treatment Procedures

• It is better to avoid any sun exposure for at least three weeks after treatment and avoid any sun exposure, tanning (including spray tans) or solariums between treatments. An SPF30 or greater sunscreen should be used throughout the course of treatments to protect the treated area.
• It is recommended to keep cool and avoid exercise, spa, saunas, swimming pools as well as using scented lotions prior to and after treatment.
• After the treatment, for a period of up to 3 weeks, it is possible that hairs in the treated area may appear as a bristle. This is an absolutely normal process because it is the time of the remnants of the hair being expelled from the damaged follicle and it will fall out naturally.
• It is allowed to shave unwanted hair between treatments or prior to treatment, but it is not recommended to wax, thread or bleach the area (for a minimum of 3 weeks prior to laser hair removal) because it will make impossible to treat it until the hair grows back.
• Shaving the area that is going to be treated one day prior to the procedure will promote a stronger current in the laser and will lead to the better outcome.
